FAQ

  • We are having the wedding at Jillian’s late-grandpa Turbessi’s house on the 2-acre property. This is the house where Jillian’s dad (Bob) grew up and Jillian made $20 every weekend mowing the lawn.

  • Welcome Party – Casual attire, indoor/outdoor

Wedding and Reception – Cocktail attire, outdoor

For this time of year in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, be prepared for anything – with the severe climate we could be looking at hot-hots or cool-colds. If we’re lucky, we will have a warm-warm!

Finally, please note that the wedding and reception will be on the (fairly flat) lawn, so consider your footwear carefully.

  • We just want you to feel comfortable and feel fly – anything goes!

  • In mid-August, Gaastra, Michigan typically experiences warm and pleasant weather, with average high temperatures in the mid to upper 70s and low temperatures in the 50s.

However, as with any location, weather can be unpredictable, so we recommend checking the local forecast as the date approaches.

In case of inclement weather, we do have a back-up plan and will let our guests know accordingly.

  • We hope you understand our decision to make the wedding children-free and take the opportunity to let your hair down and downright celebrate! That being so, the weekend is an adults-only event. Understandably, infants under 1 year are totally chill to bring along – let us know so we can make sure to accommodate!
